Catamount Run is a mixed-use development that forms the crux of South Burlington’s efforts to promote a “…walkable built environment, thriving neighborhoods, and a vibrant, pedestrian-oriented City Center” (from South Burlington’s CityPlan 2024). The site is located within South Burlington’s form-based code district, and features 468 housing units, 44,000 square feet of first-floor commercial space, and multiple plazas designed by various landscape architectural firms.
TJBA prepared detailed planting, hardscape, and grading plans for several of the mixed-use apartment buildings. Project elements included several plazas with sculptural seating and shade structures, outdoor seating and dining areas, community gardens, freestanding walls, and low-level landscape lighting.
