Michael J. Buscher, Landscape Architect | Principal
A skilled facilitator and mediator with extensive experience in project permitting and aesthetic analysis, Michael's designs for urban infill and sustainable community development have won recognition from the Vermont Planners Association and the Vermont Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects.
A graduate of Penn State University, Michael practiced in the Washington, D.C. Metro Area before settling in Vermont.
James Palmer, Landscape Architect | Scenic Quality Scientist
A professor of landscape architecture for the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry for more than 25 years, Jim has researched and written extensively on the topic of visual assessment. He has been honored as a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architecture and named to the first class of Fellows of the Council of Educators in Landscape Architecture.
Jim earned his MLA in Landscape Architecture and PhD in Forestry/Natural Resource Planning from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
Jeremy Owens, Associate Landscape Architect | GIS and CAD Specialist
Jeremy is an expert in computer-generated analysis and modeling, with extensive experience in the use of ArcGIS, AutoCAD, WindPRO and Adobe Photoshop to produce photographic simulations, ZTV/Viewshed maps, 3D drafting, and graphics for visual impact analysis.
Jeremy is a graduate of the University of Georgia College of Environment and Design.
Jeff Szatkowski, Associate Landscape Architect
Jeff’s expertise includes aesthetic analysis, mitigation planting, planting installation oversight, and negotiation. He has prepared aesthetic report exhibits, including testimony, photographic simulations, GIS viewshed maps, and mitigation planting plans for a broad spectrum of clients.
Jeff graduated from the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry.
Taryn Dowling, Associate Landscape Architect
Taryn is a graduate of Penn State University’s Landscape Architecture program, where she received awards for her studio work, and her efforts using film as a medium to explain design processes.
Taryn’s expertise includes graphic design, site analysis and research, and the creation of planting plans and construction documents.
