Michael J. Buscher, Landscape Architect | Principal
A skilled facilitator and mediator with extensive experience in project design, permitting and aesthetic impact analysis. Michael's designs for urban infill and sustainable community development have won recognition from the Vermont Planners Association and the Vermont Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects.
A graduate of Penn State University, Michael practiced in the Washington, D.C. Metro Area before settling in Vermont.
James Palmer, Landscape Architect | Scenic Quality Scientist
A professor of landscape architecture for the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry for more than 25 years, Jim has researched and written extensively on the topic of visual assessment. He has been honored as a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architecture and named to the first class of Fellows of the Council of Educators in Landscape Architecture.
Jim earned his MLA in Landscape Architecture and PhD in Forestry/Natural Resource Planning from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
Jeremy Owens, Senior Landscape Architect
Jeremy has experience with a wide variety of landscape planning and design services, including site layout, grading, planting plans, lighting design, residential design, commercial and public sector design, aesthetic impact analyses as well as project management. Jeremy's designs have won recognition from the Vermont Planners Association, Vermont Urban and Community Forestry Council, and the Vermont Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects.
Jeremy is also an expert in computer-generated analysis and modeling, with extensive experience in the use of ArcGIS, AutoCAD, 3D Studio Max, WindPRO and Adobe Photoshop to produce photographic simulations, ZTV/Viewshed maps, 3D drafting, maps and graphics for visual impact analysis.
Jeremy is a graduate of the University of Georgia College of Environment and Design.
Ella Braco, LEED Green Associate, Landscape Designer
Ella’s expertise includes urban infill, sustainable masterplan development, as well as site planning for residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties. She has worked on projects from concept design through permitting and construction documentation. She is also skilled in the preparation of conceptual and marketing graphics.
Ella is a graduate of State University of New York College of Environmental Science & Forestry’s Masters of Landscape Architecture Program. She practiced in the Washington, D.C. Metro area before settling in Burlington.
Jessey Horvat, Landscape Designer
Jessey’s expertise includes graphic design and visualization, CAD design, GIS modeling, site design and developing site analysis documentation. Jessey has an undergraduate degree in Resource Economics from the University of Connecticut, and is a graduate of State University of New York College of Environmental Science & Forestry’s Masters of Landscape Architecture Program, where his studies focused on stormwater management.
